Things are moving ahead and it is almost mix time. Wanted to let everybody know that we just recorded -my good friend, singer/performer Nikki Van Cassele as the background vocal on “Bluest Eyes” and it sounds awesome. I’ve worked with Nikki many times over the years in fact we just did two shows together last weekend- and I think our voices blend well. I always say- Nikki just “gets me” -gets the vibe of my music and always knows just what to do with a phrase. Can’t wait for everyone to hear the results. So as it stands we just have to tweak a few things -like add a cello line here and there -but besides that we are almost ready to mix. Btw -You can check out a pic of us singing together during the “Bluest Eyes” session in the Cityscrapes studio photos on the web site. Hot damn I can’t wait to get this project finished! Hopefully post some music clips soon! XO

Hey there friends! Thanks again for all the support -It’s been tremendous!
Wanted to let you all know we are making progress and getting ready to mix soon! A lot has happened since my last post and I’m happy to report that we are nearing completion. Good news- in the next week or so we will be adding some special friends to the all-star line up on City Scrapes: guitarist Tom Devaney of the band Rotary Club, as well as vocalist and Tony Award nominee Martine Allard to name a few. We are also planning the photo shoot for the album -trying to catch the vibe of the album visually is always a challenge -so keep your fingers crossed.
Here’s the official track list (sequence might change) as so many of you have been asking which songs were gonna be on the album for sure:
My Street
Slapback
The Bluest Eyes
You & Me: Together
City Scrapes
First Time
Rise
When You’re [...]

Well, well, well...Things are really coming together in a nice way. Almost all the tracks are finished -solo piano to full band- with the exception of some special guests that we will be adding to the mix as soon as we can get them into the studio. All of my lead vocals and backgrounds are done (I say with a tinge of bittersweet relief) and sound awesome. For those of you who dig that kind of 1960's/70's style of recording (the kind of "warmth" that is missing in so many current recordings) you will love this album. It really has a cool organic vibe to it. Thanks to the expertise of producer/engineer Ron Allaire, things are running smoothly in the most creative of ways. So hopefully we should have everything wrapped and ready to mix soon. I will keep everybody posted as to our progress. So excited for everyone to hear it!
